About me

All lawyers deal with the law, but family law attorneys are uniquely involved in our clients’ most personal lives and their most precious assets – their children. As a lawyer and a mother of four, my goal is for my clients and their families to transition through divorce as painlessly as possible, both emotionally and financially. I empower my clients to take control of their lives and reach agreements when possible, or advocate for them in court when more aggression is necessary. As a mediator, I guide both parties and their attorneys toward fair and reasonable outcomes, while creating closure and reducing tension whenever possible.  There is usually a creative solution to a problem if everyone simply “thinks outside the box.”  It may just take a bit of extra effort to get there.

However, there are times when a solution is not possible or the other side refuses to compromise.  I have been a Family Law litigator for 20 years and continue to actively try cases in the courtroom.  Not only does this give me a better perspective in mediating a case to settlement, but it also allows me to more accurately gauge my strategy for court.  I’m able to be a more successful advocate.  When opponents complain online about losing, I must have done my job.  Those cases are unfortunate, but each case is different, just like each family is different.  No two cases are alike.  Some cases require both aggression and compromise, and I regularly handle both.

It is truly rewarding for me to help my clients navigate through the divorce process and achieve the finality they need to begin a new chapter in their lives.  I would love to sit down with you and talk about how I may be able to help you with something difficult in your life.  I have recently opened my calendar to accept new clients and can be reached by phone or email.
