Richard D. Stephens

About me

I began practicing law in a small firm setting, handling everything from drafting wills to preparing and trying cases before a jury. That varied experience served me well when I began specializing in family law, particularly in the handling of complex equitable distribution cases.

Family law matters are challenging. They require attention to detail, zealous advocacy at times, and the patience and understanding to deal with people who are under a great deal of stress. The ultimate reward for me over the years has been the appreciation shown by my clients and the feeling that I have made a positive difference in their lives.
