Richard D. Stephens
I began practicing law in a small firm setting, handling everything from drafting wills to preparing and trying cases before a jury. That varied experience served me well when I began focusing on family law, particularly in the handling of complex equitable distribution cases.
I am now retired and no longer actively practicing law, but I welcome the opportunity to refer cases to my former colleagues at the firm.
Family law matters are challenging. They require attention to detail, zealous advocacy at times, and the patience and understanding to deal with people who are under a great deal of stress. The ultimate reward for me over the years has been the appreciation shown by my clients and the feeling that I have made a positive difference in their lives.
